United States Sen. Joni Ernst expressed support for increased COVID-19 mitigation efforts put in place by Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds, who issued the new proclamation on Monday.

“Thanks to (Gov. Reynolds) for her strong leadership throughout this pandemic,” Ernst said. “Just like she said tonight, we all should do our part — mask up, social distance, wash hands — to help tackle COVID19 and keep our families and communities safe.”

The message was retweeted by the Republican Party of Iowa.
