ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED ON AUG. 7, 2020 — Two city officials in Boone, Iowa are proudly supporting Black Lives Matter.

April Burch holds an elected position on the city park commission. She sells Black Lives Matter signs.

Councilman Elijah Stines is also a Black Lives Matter supporter. He too backs the movement.

Is this really what Boone wants from their elected officials? To promote Black Lives Matter? To promote hatred and destruction? Elected officials who side with a group that desires to defund and/or abolish the police?

A mural of President Donald Trump was vandalized in Boone either late Thursday or early Friday.
