Doctor Anthony Fauci told CNN federal health officials are considering issuing a recommendation for fully vaccinated individuals to wear masks in public again.
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director said that if people are not vaccinated, the model is going to predict that “we’re going to be in trouble as we continue to get more and more cases.”
Some local areas — such as Los Angeles County and Chicago — said everyone should wear masks in public regardless of vaccination status. The CDC also recommended all children who are unvaccinated wear masks when returning to school in the fall.
In April, a study by the Journal of American Medical Association found children are at low risk of developing COVID and do not play a significant role in spreading the Chinese Community Party Virus.
