Freshman House Republican Rep. Mark Cisneros was rated No. 1 in the Iowa House by the American Conservative Union. Cisneros received a rating of 94 percent.

Cisneros was rated on 35 votes in 2021.

Representatives Skyler Wheeler and David Sieck were second with 89 percent.

State Rep. Brian Lohse was the lowest-rated Republican in the House. He finished the year with a 70 percent rating.

Cisneros will be honored at a separate event in Des Moines on Monday, Dec. 13. Cisneros was the lone Republican in the House to vote against the employer vaccine mandate bill as he did not believe it provided enough protections for Iowans.
