Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you were able to celebrate with your family and reflect on what you’re thankful for this year.

Here’s why I’m thankful this year: despite facing unprecedented hardships, activists like you stepped up. You worked alongside us to achieve incredible policy reforms, push remarkable judicial nominations past the finish line, and make our country an even better place for every person to succeed.

Let’s break that down for a minute and take a look back at just a few of the victories we have to be thankful for this year-

1. In the face of COVID-19, you helped AFP work to improve access to quality healthcare through innovations like telemedicine, among others. In fact, our grassroots network is so impactful that Vice President Mike Pence made it a point to share information about the administration’s efforts to slow the spread of the virus with us.

2. You were the first to hear what our top policy experts thought about relief and spending bills from Congress and the role of states in pandemic response. We worked hard to prevent lawmakers from bailing out states that have been mismanaging their budgets for decades.

3. You and your fellow activists made over 750,000 contacts– calls and letters- to Congress in support of Justice Amy Coney Barrett. This was one of our biggest grassroots efforts ever!

Together, we showed that we’re ready to meet any future challenge – and that’s just what America needs right now.
