One of American Principles Project’s most important roles is to educate lawmakers about how the American people support a pro-family agenda.

For years, Republican leaders believed laws that pushed back against the transgender industry or that fought the left’s agenda in our schools were too risky.

They thought that the agenda of Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell was what the American people wanted.

They were wrong, and many lawmakers have since recognized that they were wrong. But there are still too many holdouts.

That’s why we invest so heavily in polling focused on family issues.

Consider our latest poll:

  • Republican voters support candidates that prioritize guaranteeing parental rights in education by 92.5% to 6.2% margin.
  • Republican voters support candidates that prioritize requiring age verification to access pornographic content online by an 85.6% to 11.9% margin.
  • Republican voters support candidates who prioritize banning sex change procedures and hormone treatments for minors by a 76.1% to 21.5% margin.

And finally:

  • Republican voters believe GOP officials have given up too much ground on culture war issues, especially when it comes to parental rights, by a 78.9% to 17.4% margin.

Lawmakers need to see this. Too many of them still think that Mitch McConnell’s agenda is what our party wants.

They need to know that passing these laws ins’t just the right thing to do, but it’s also the politically smart thing to do.

Thank you for helping us to present these results, face-to-face, with politicians across the country as we ask them to introduce laws that strengthen American families.
