The Des Moines Register reported on Friday evening that the Ankeny Community School District conducted an internal investigation following the drag show that took place inside the school last spring.

The show was not approved by administration, but the two staff members who were involved are still employed by the district.

Ankeny went viral for the incident due to The Iowa Standard, Libs of TikTok and activist Kimberly Reicks posting about it, according to the Register.
