As the dust settles on yesterday’s primary elections, American Principles Project (APP) is celebrating numerous great results for the pro-family movement.
The most important was in Michigan’s 3rd congressional district, where Big Family Pledge signer John Gibbs defeated incumbent GOP Rep. Peter Meijer. For the last few weeks, APP’s affiliated super PAC has been running a digital ad campaign in the district slamming Meijer for his support of the so-called “Fairness for All Act,” which would impose transgender ideology on the country. APP PAC’s ads were viewed 990,000 times in the days leading up to the election and likely provided Gibbs with a decisive boost. You can read APP’s statement on the race here.
APP’s PAC was also involved in supporting Tudor Dixon, another Big Family Pledge signer, spending $100,000 on digital advertising and texting. The campaign’s ads touting Dixon’s pro-family record were viewed over 1.7 million times by Michigan voters. APP PAC also ran a full-page newspaper ad in the Grand Rapids Press on Sunday and Tuesday defending Dixon’s pro-police stance against a last-minute, spurious attack from a Democrat-aligned group. In Arizona, it appears APP-endorsed candidates Blake Masters and Kari Lake have prevailed in the Republican primaries for U.S. Senate and governor, respectively. Both were the only candidates in their races to sign the Big Family Pledge. ‘
Pledge signers also won their primaries for state-level offices in Ohio and Kansas. Among those was Ohio State House candidate Jenn Giroux, whom APP PAC supported with another digital ad campaign.
