Kari Lake, a Republican candidate for Governor of Arizona, said she plans to issue a “declaration of invasion” on her first day in office as it relates to the border.
“Well, I’ll take the oath of office and the minute my hand comes off the Bible, I’ll grab a pen and we sign — issue a declaration of invasion,” Lake said. “I think I’ll be the first governor in the history of this country to issue a declaration of invasion and pretty much enact state war powers through the U.S. Constitution Article I Section 10 Clause 3.”
Her plan is receiving pushback from her political opposition.
Just days after the white supremacist motivated Buffalo shooting, Kari Lake calls migrants entering the country “an invasion.”
