Democrat Congresswoman Cindy Axne laughed off the idea that COVID is being spread by illegal aliens entering America and being relocated while sharply criticizing Americans who refuse to take an experimental vaccine.

Axne joined a local podcast last week and was asked her thoughts on the border situation and being sure migrants aren’t coming over the border with COVID and affecting U.S. citizens.

She started her answer with a chuckle.

“Here’s what I can tell you to that question, if people 1,300 miles away are infecting us with COVID then we’ve got a bigger problem than I thought,” Axne said. “That’s not even a reality. We all know that COVID can’t travel like that and we all know that, as you mentioned, folks are literally being detained at the border. So, to say that people are coming into the country and spreading this is so disingenuous.”

Axne said what we need are people in our communities who won’t get vaccinated to get vaccinated.

“They are the ones who are spreading it,” she said. “Unfortunately we see too many people — young children who can’t get vaccinated. Their parents are very scared to send them back to school and I can’t blame them. It’s very scary to know that your child is being exposed to a dangerous pandemic because unfortunately others won’t wear masks or get vaccinated.

“And so Id have to look into our own community because it’s certainly not coming in 1,300 miles away.”
