From Congresswoman Cindy Axne’s campaign:

A new television ad released today by Representative Cindy Axne’s campaign highlights her continued commitment to improving the lives of Iowans.

In the face of unprecedented challenges for our state, Cindy always puts the needs of Iowans first to deliver real results.

In the ad titled “Promise,” Cindy explains how she’s working with Republican Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley to lower meat prices for Iowans, and that she voted against her own party to help Iowans who were affected by the derecho.

The ad buy will start today and cover all three media markets within Iowa’s Third Congressional District.

“Cindy always puts Iowans over her party. Cindy understands that the last few years have presented real challenges to Iowa families, farmers, and small business owners and that’s why she is laser-focused on getting things done in Congress, not partisan games. Cindy has said since day one she will work with whomever she needs to in order to deliver on her promises, and she’s doing just that,” said Paige Godden, spokesperson for Cindy Axne for Congress.

Cindy has been named Iowa’s most bipartisan member of the House for two years in a row by the Lugar Center and Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy, and in In 2020, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce recognized Rep. Axne as the most bipartisan member of Iowa’s Congressional delegation, awarding her their Spirit of Enterprise award for her bipartisan legislative work promoting business and commonsense governing.

Full Script:

Cindy Axne: The last few years have been hard: record storms, inflation, a pandemic – and politicians who would rather fight than fix things.

But I ran on a promise to work with anyone to get results, and stand up to anyone when you needed me to.

So I’m working with Senator Grassley to lower meat prices, and I bucked my own party to help Iowans hurt by the derecho.

There’s a lot more to do, but [if you give me your vote] I’ll never stop working to make things better for our families.

I’m Cindy Axne, and I approve this message.
