U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations (OFO) at the Hidalgo International Bridge apprehended Raul Marin Osorio, a Mexican citizen from Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico who had an arrest warrant for sexual assault of a child.

 “CBP Field Operations is always ready to assist our law enforcement partners in apprehending those wanted persons with outstanding warrants, especially those allegedly involved in heinous crimes of a sexual nature with children,” said Port Director Carlos Rodriguez, Port of Hidalgo/Pharr/ Anzalduas.

On February 11, 2022, deputy U.S. Marshals contacted the port of Hidalgo to notify that a wanted person was going to be turning himself in at the international bridge in Hidalgo and requested that CBP assist in the apprehension.

The 41-year-old arrived from Mexico at the Hidalgo-Reynosa International Bridge on foot and a CBP officer immediately secured him and escorted him to the secondary processing area where biometric verification could confirm his identity along with the active arrest warrant from Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. He is charged with sexual assault of a child/continuous sexual abuse of a child, a second-degree felony.

Deputy U.S. Marshals arrived to take custody of Marin and transported him to Weslaco city jail.

Criminal charges are merely allegations. Defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
