Rio Grande Valley Sector (RGV) agents arrested two child sex offenders, a previously convicted drug smuggler, and a Mara-Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang member over the weekend.

On May 6, McAllen Border Patrol Station (MCS) agents apprehended a Mexican national near Mission.  The migrant had been previously removed from the U.S. after being sentenced to 18 months confinement in 2017 for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.

On May 7, MCS agents processed Isaias Hernandez-Bautista, a Mexican national who was sentenced to three years’ incarceration in 2012 for aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a child under 13 years of age.  Later that day, a Honduran national, convicted for the carnal knowledge of a child between 13-14 years of age was encountered by MCS agents.  The Honduran migrant, convicted in 2011, served nearly a year in confinement before being removed from the U.S.   The migrant has been removed from the U.S. multiple times.

Later that day, MCS agents apprehended a Salvadoran national Mara-Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang member.

All subjects were processed accordingly.
