During Thursday’s address, President Joe Biden said that “no one expected the sanctions to prevent anything from happening” when it comes to Ukraine.

But that is strange. It is strange because it is opposite the argument his administration has put forth.

It was just a handful of days ago that Vice President Kamala Harris said the threat of sanctions will “absolutely” deter Vladimir Putin.
