Notes from the White House pool reporter on today’s COVID-19 response team meeting with 25 governors and President Biden…

Biden’s message to governors is “if you need something, say something. He acknowledged a testing shortage:

“Seeing how tough it was for some folks to get a test this weekend shows that we have more work to do.”

Biden added his administration has worked with Google so people can search COVID test near me to find one.

He took one question on whether he supports shortened quarantine period recommendations.

“I rely on my medical team. I get a recommendation, I follow it.”

Biden did not answer questions about whether there should be a vaccine requirement for domestic travel and whether he should have planned for holiday testing earlier.
The press pool was pulled after Biden’s remarks.
