Over the weekend President Joe Biden made some curious remarks to the press before Air Force One’s departure. He made the remarks prior to leaving Madison.

Biden told the press he “completely” ruled out giving up the Democrat nomination for 2024. He also told the media they have “been wrong about everything so far.”

“You were wrong about 2020. You were wrong about 2022 that we were going to get wiped out,” he said. “Remember the ‘red wave?’ You were wrong about 2023 when you said all the tough races we were going to — we won them all but two. So, look, we’ll see.”

The end of the availability was abrupt. Biden had just made perhaps the most interesting comments.

“By the way, we do have succession plans,” Biden said. “But what do I need a succession plan for now? And, by the way, you know, I mean — anyway.”

The press asked him to go on, but he instead ended his comments with a brief “thank you.”
