We’ve already detailed the “Respect for Marriage Act” that passed the United States House of Representatives earlier this year — with the support of Iowa Republican Representatives Ashley Hinson and Mariannette Miller-Meeks.
But Liberty Counsel Action is sounding the alarm as the bill could come up for a vote in the United States Senate shortly.
“Sen. Schumer is chomping at the bit to pass a bill so perverse that serial child sex abuser Alfred Kinsey would be proud,” wrote Liberty Counsel Action chairman Mat Staver. “HR 8404, purposefully misnamed the ‘Repsect for Marriage Act,’ is classic Kinsey — a gross perversion of human sexuality designed to destroy a society and undermine belief in God.”
Staver warns the bill will allow states with no age limit on marriage to set the standard for the nation as one state’s marriage will have to be honored by every other state.
Five GOP senators have already joined the Democrats in supporting the bill.
“Children have always been under demonic attack because they represent a new generation,” Staver wrote. “But this evil attack is being unmasked now under this ‘Respect for Marriage’ bill like never before. It will put a target on children in at-risk families to be groomed for abuse and makes this molestation legal — if done within the confines of ‘marriage.’
“This bill will open a massive loophole to legalize this level of abuse and bring it out into the open. The state or territory with the worst marriage laws (like California, with no age limit) will be able to export its perversion nationwide. This level of debauchery has always been the goal.”
Staver said America is on the cusp of making sexual abuse against children legal.
“We need Republicans in the Senate to stand up against this bill. Some of them are weak and do not grasp the implications of HR 8404.”
