At least eleven announced gubernatorial, senatorial, and congressional candidates are expected to highlight the evening for the “250 Celebration, Patriots Dinner” at the Waterloo Convention Center on September 28th. (Still more entrants are likely to step forward!) Plus, we will be joined by one 2028 declared presidential candidate.
Candidates will be interviewed by media veteran Jeff Stein, maintaining a lively flow. Local officials also will be attending and afforded opportunity to visit and interact with quests. National talk show host, journalist and author Todd Starnes will bring the program into focus with his wit, wisdom and political acumen. The evening promises to be an entertaining, informative and spirited event.
Moreover, the program and dinner gives attendees opportunity to savor a selection of entrees, enjoy the music of the Proud Image Chorus, and bid on some unique items. Event tickets and details can be obtained at www.blackhawkgop.org.
Starnes latest book, “Star Spangled Blessings: Devotions for Patriots” follows closely on the heels of his pre-election book: “Twilight’s Last Gleaming: Can America Be Saved”. President Donald J. Trump calls Starnes a “…a fierce defender of freedom and a great patriot. He has seen—and understands—what is happening to our country like few others.”
Hosted by the Black Hawk County Republicans, “250: Patriots’ Dinner” is an annual event to provide operational funding. All the evening’s proceeds stay local. The Black Hawk County Republican Party is the local non-profit component of the national and state Republican party and comprised completely of volunteers from each precinct in the county who are elected at caucus to represent fellow Republicans in Black Hawk County. Their mission is to promote Iowa conservative values, conduct local Party business, and recruit and help elect local Republican candidates while assisting state and national candidates where possible.
