Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents arrested one illegal alien Wednesday near Lukeville, AZ and later determined he was previously convicted in Phoenix for multiple felonies.

Agents from the Casa Grande station arrested Efrain Guillen-Olivas, a 42-year-old Mexican national. During processing, a record search revealed Guillen was previously convicted of multiple felonies in Phoenix for dangerous drugs, narcotics possession, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping, and several sexual assault charges. Guillen received over 13 years in prison for his crimes and has been removed from the United States on multiple occasions.

Guillen is being charged with felony immigration charges for re-entering the United States following deportation.

All persons apprehended by the Border Patrol undergo criminal history checks using biometrics to ensure illegal aliens with criminal histories are positively identified.
