State Sen. Jim Carlin, the only Republican who has announced for the U.S. Senate seat up for election in 2022, announced a pair of fundraisers on Monday.
Carlin will be joined by Dr. Lee Merritt on Saturday, June 19 for a fundraiser in West Des Moines.
Dr. Merritt is an advocate for the free market as well as patient-centered medical care. She is a member of America’s Frontline Doctors, a group working to expose the misconceptions related to the COVID pandemic.

On Aug. 28, Carlin will have a fundraiser with David Barton of Wall Builders. The event will center on the importance of faith.
