Rep. Earl L. “Buddy” Carter (R-GA) introduced a resolution expressing the sense of Congress that President Donald J. Trump should be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for the historic peace deals secured during his time in office, including the recent announcement of an end to hostilities and release of hostages in the Israel-Hamas conflict.

If needed, he intends to file a discharge petition that will force a vote on this measure, which cites the administration’s deals between Azerbaijan and Armenia; Cambodia and Thailand; Israel and Iran; Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo; India and Pakistan; Egypt and Ethiopia; Serbia and Kosovo; and, Israel and Hamas.

“No one deserves the Nobel Peace Prize more than Donald J. Trump, the Peace President. In nine short months, he’s negotiated seven peace deals, not including the recent announcement of a historic agreement between Israel and Hamas to release the hostages and end hostilities. He has already saved countless lives, and the world is forever indebted to him for his courageous pursuit of peace,” said Rep. Carter.

Original Cosponsors of the resolution include: Reps. Randy Weber (R-TX), Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ), Diana Harshbarger (R-TN), Jimmy Patronis (R-FL), and María Elvira Salazar (R-FL).
