Democrats have expressed their frustration with Iowa Republicans since the end of the legislative session. One of the biggest Republican crimes of the 2019 legislative session?
Banning abortion providers from receiving funds to teach sex education.
Naturally, without Planned Parenthood, it seems Iowans have no shot at receiving any sort of education at all about sex and reproduction.
Over the weekend Sen. Claire Celsi (D-West Des Moines) shared the link to a shirt available that states “Iowa needs sex education.”
Celsi’s tweet, though, has a typo.
Celsi wrote “Iowan needs sex education.”
Whoops.
We’re not sure which ‘Iowan’ needs sex education, but best of luck to him, or her. Or which ever gender he/she identifies as.
