On Thursday, Live Action, one of the nation’s leading human rights organizations, released its first video in a new series to combat coerced abortions. These horrific testimonials from women who have either been forced into an abortion or were guilty of coercion themselves share the truth that the abortion industry doesn’t want us to know: abortion is the intentional killing of a living child in the womb for personal gain and corporate profit. Additionally, this series exposes the immediate need to ban the abortion pill.

Released in partnership with Stop Coerced Abortions, Live Action recorded personal accounts from four women. The first video, released today, shares Mayra R.’s story. She spent 17 years working for Planned Parenthood, leading as director of an abortion facility that performed 45 to 50 abortions per day. Mayra’s powerful testimony shares stories of abortionists pressuring women, the day she demanded all baby body parts be removed from a woman with an incomplete abortion, and even knowledge of a baby born-alive that was left to die.

“It’s pain, and it’s darkness, and it’s bloody, and it’s all about money. For 17 years, I helped no one, but I destroyed many.”

In the video, Mayra recalls pushing the abortion pill regimen (a combination of drugs, mifipristone and misoprostol) on women and then having them call her in dire situations.

“You’re instructed to tell them, go ahead and grab it and throw it in the toilet and flush and don’t look. (They say), But you told me it was just a blood clot, and I actually can see the hands, the feet, the face, and they will be crying in devastation. You told me I was just gonna feel like cramping like a period, but I think I’m dying. You have to dismiss them by telling them, just put your feet up, take Ibuprofen, lie down, and use a heating pad, you will be okay.

For years, I was told that what I was doing was good for women because otherwise, women would have back-alley abortions. The abortion pill is a back-alley abortion. You’re giving women a pill that she gets by mail. Now, in many states, they don’t even ask them for ultrasounds to get the abortion pills. They don’t even want to know how old they are. This is how we have cases of men putting abortion pills in drinks for women.”

Earlier this week, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration delayed a review of the abortion drug mifepristone at Commissioner Marty Makary’s request, delaying the review until after the midterm elections.

In response to this news, Lila Rose, founder and president of Live Action, released the following statement:

“The FDA must act to protect children and mothers. By neglecting to review the dangerous drug mifepristone, Dr. MaKary is dismissing the reality that abortion pills kill preborn children and endanger women. We must end mail-order abortion and ban the abortion pill now.

This new video series exposes the abuse, neglect, and open contempt for human life that define the abortion industry. Myra’s story is not rare. Planned Parenthood and its affiliates routinely prey on vulnerable women and their preborn children for profit. When reports of abuse are ignored or abortions are carried out against a woman’s will, the industry reveals its true nature. An industry willing to inflict violence should never receive a single dollar in taxpayer funding under the false banner of “healthcare.”

We must continue to listen to and share these horrific stories so that people know the truth: life in the womb is precious, and abortion coercion is real. Every day we do not abolish abortion, preborn children are murdered, and mothers suffer through unimaginable physical and emotional trauma.”

The video series will be released over the next four weeks on StopCoercedAbortions.com and will be posted on Live Action’s YouTube channel. The following three videos include more harrowing stories from former Planned Parenthood workers as well as women who were forced to have unwanted abortions by their partners.
