CommonSpirit Health sent a message to employees on Tuesday that it is resetting the COVID-19 vaccination waiver survey for those who had exemptions previously denied or pending due to the new Iowa law.

Employees are still required to provide COVID-19 vaccination status to employee health, the message states, or they can submit a vaccination waiver.

Iowa employees have until Nov. 12 to complete the process.

Employees who receive a waiver in accordance with Iowa law will be forced to wear a mask and regularly test for COVID. Those partially vaccinated will be considered unvaccinated.

In bold letters, the message states:

“Please note that our COVID-19 vaccination requirement as a condition of employment, our exemption process and this Iowa-specific waiver process are subject to change based on applicable state and federal regulations and laws.”
