Zach Dieken, Republican candidate for Iowa House District 5, has officially submitted his affidavit of candidacy and nomination petitions with the Iowa Secretary of State. On Tuesday, March 8th, Dieken traveled to Des Moines with his family to file with Secretary of State, Paul Pate, at the Iowa State Capitol building. Dieken, who lives in rural Granville and would represent the new District 5 in 2023, acquired 231 signatures from district residents. He filed and was officially approved to be on the ballot for the District 5 Republican primary on June 7th.

“I wanted my family to be there because we represent Northwest Iowa families. My children, as well as the families of District 5, will be greatly affected by the decisions of our elected officials.” Dieken said, “now more than ever, the nucleus of our nation is under attack. Standing up for families, and ensuring life and liberty for our children, is vital to the future of our state and nation.”
