The only Democrat in Iowa who decided to take a crack at beating Gov. Kim Reynolds, who is as popular as ever among voters in the Hawkeye State, is a person called Deidre DeJear. DeJear considers herself a “voting rights champion” and “community leader.”

She posted a video to Facebook earlier today that is, by all accounts, really strange messaging when it comes to Good Friday.

Her post read: “Tell me something good! #GoodFriday”

Friday, April 15, is Good Friday. For Christians, it is the day on which the Crucifixion of Jesus is commemorated. For many, it has traditionally been a day of fasting and penance.

For DeJear, it’s apparently a day of gloating about fundraising…???

You can watch the video below:

Despite including the #GoodFriday in her post, she offered nothing in her message about Good Friday. In fact, it was solely about raising money.

It isn’t a good look for an Iowa Democrat Party that had its only member of the congressional delegation badmouth Christians.
