Lockdown Laura Kelly was out in full force last night at the Kansas Chamber of Commerce forum. When asked about her initial approach to COVID-19 Kelly said “I’ll make absolutely no apologies.”
It should come as no surprise. Kelly lives in complete denial of the damage her time as governor has cost Kansas:
- Kelly falsely claimed Kansas had recovered the jobs it lost as a result of her restrictive COVID policies (read more from KSNT)
- Kelly calls herself the “education governor,” but as Jim Denning outlined in The Kansas City Star this morning, Kelly oversaw more damage to Kansas students than any governor in state history
“Democrat Laura Kelly’s unilateral actions during the pandemic cost people their livelihoods and indescribably set back Kansans young and old alike, yet she continues to show a total lack of remorse or compassion for those she’s hurt,” said RGA spokesperson Joanna Rodriguez. “Kansans want a governor that trusts them to do what’s best for themselves, their families, and their businesses, not an entitled elitist like Kelly who still insists she knows better.”
