Linn County Auditor Joel Miller is running to be Iowa’s next Secretary of State. The position, currently held by Republican Paul Pate, is pretty central to making sure Iowa’s elections run smoothly and doesn’t really have any sort of reason to drift into public health.

But Miller, a Democrat, I guess couldn’t help himself.

On Dec. 28, Miller shared on his candidate Twitter account an article about Ecuador ordering its citizens to receive COVID injections. In addition, Miller pointed out that Dr. Anthony Fauci has said the U.S. should consider injection mandates for air travel.

And, in Miller’s opinion, Ecuador may become the “safest nation to visit in 2022.”

An interesting issue for a Secretary of State candidate to tackle.
