Democrat State Sen. Claire Celsi took to Twitter, as she typically does, to criticize her former colleague Randy Feenstra.

Feenstra is preparing to be sworn is as Iowa’s Fourth Congressional District’s representative.

Celsi attacked Feenstra because he is holding out on acknowledging that Joe Biden won the 2020 Presidential Election.

Feenstra was hesitant to say if he would object to the Electoral College results on Jan. 6.

Feenstra said that there is a role for the Electoral College and there is a role for Congress to chime in, and he looks forward to having that opportunity.

COVID changed the landscape of the election process, Feenstra said.

“Even Iowa, as prepared as what we were, we had county auditors that sort of blew past the stop sign,” Feenstra said. “We had to take them to court. They wanted to put their thumb on the scale. And I look at that and say, we saw this in Iowa, what is happening around our country?”

Feenstra refused to say he considers Biden the President-elect.

Celsi said Feenstra’s response is “disappointing, yet not surprising.”

“Randy Feenstra is a Kool-aid drinking true believer in every right-wing conspiracy theory ever invented,” she said. “But he will show up at the photo op and ask for more federal money during the next flood in his district.”
