The latest national phone and online survey by Rasmussen Reports shows 51 percent of likely U.S. voters support President Joe Biden’s executive order for all private companies with 100 or more employees to make sure employees are fully vaccinated against COVID or produce a weekly negative test result.

Thirty-eight percent strongly support the mandate. Forty-eight percent oppose the mandate, including 40 percent who strongly oppose it.

While it appears to be close, the reality is the amount of Democrats who support forced vaccinations for employees drives the razor-thin majority for Biden’s plan. Seventy-nine percent of Democrats support Biden’s plan. Only 26 percent of Republicans and 40 percent of unaffiliated voters agree.

Seventy-one percent of Republicans and 57 percent of unaffiliated voters oppose the mandate.

Eighty-five percent of Democrats said they are confidence in the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine, which was produced through the efforts of President Donald J. Trump’s administration. Seventy percent of unaffiliated voters are confident while 56 percent of Republicans are as well.

Only 28 percent of Democrats believe those who have natural immunity should be exempted from vaccine mandates. Fifty-two percent of unaffiliated voters and 71 percent of Republicans believe those who were infected and have recovered from the virus should be exempt.
