The Department of Defense released an image of a COVID-19 vaccination record card on Wednesday. The cards are expected to be used as the “simplest” way to keep track of COVID-19 shots, according to Dr. Kelly Moore.

Moore, who is associate director of the Immunization Action Coalition, said everyone will receive a written card that will tell them what they had and when their next dose is due.

State immunization registries will also be notified what vaccine was given by vaccination clinics. Every dose that is given will be reported to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
