A new Rasmussen Reports national phone and online survey shows President Donald J. Trump still maintains a healthy margin against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis among Republican voters.

Forty-nine percent of likely voters view DeSantis favorably while 42 percent have an unfavorable view of him. That includes 70 percent of Republicans who have a favorable view of DeSantis.

Despite his popularity among GOP voters, DeSantis finds himself trailing Trump 58-30 among those same voters.

Among all likely voters, DeSantis and President Joe Biden are tied 44-44. DeSantis would beat Biden among unaffiliated voters, however, 46-38.

Interestingly, DeSantis is viewed favorably by 43 percent of unaffiliated voters and unfavorably by 48 percent of unaffiliated voters.

The poll shows that among all likely voters who said they would choose DeSantis over Trump for the GOP nomination, 40 percent would choose Biden over DeSantis in the general election.
