A reader reached out to The Iowa Standard letting us know about an event held by Serv’d Events at Decades Event Center in West Des Moines. The event was the June Drag Brunch — Disney Show.

The reader told us two young boys — younger than seven — were wearing dresses. It is estimated less than eight kids were there and gave dollar bills to drag queens.

Kids were then invited to sing and collect dollar bills from the guests.

The all-ages drag show was billed as a “journey through the magical world of Disney.”

“Dress up as your favorite Disney characters and enjoy themed performances by our amazing show cast,” said the event’s internet page.

A portion of the proceeds raised went to GLBT Youth in Iowa Schools Task Force, or “Iowa Safe Schools” as they are also known. This is the same group that has caused trouble in the past and is under investigation by the Iowa Auditor.

And yes, it is the same group that is continually allowed to call their annual conference the annual Governor’s Conference on LGBTQ Youth without opposition from either former Gov. Terry Branstad (who actually addressed the event one year) or Gov. Kim Reynolds.

School administrators, as well as legislators, have called for the title of the conference to change as they believe it is deceiving.

Here is a scene from the Disney drag brunch that took place at Decades Event Center in West Des Moines:

Here are some still images taken from public videos posted to Facebook of the two kids walking in dresses to the song “We Don’t Talk About Brunno” while collecting dollar bills from adults.

Here are some of the other scenes from the Disney drag brunch (all are videos publicly posted to Facebook):

Nationally there is an effort in Texas to make it illegal to perform drag shows in the presence of minors.

  1. This is DISGUSTING!!!!
REMEMBER: THIS IS ABOUT LEGALIZING PEDOPHILIA!!!
if the parents want to go and be sodomized and electrified by Drag Queens, so be it. This is NOT something children should be exposed to, no matter what the “WOKE” crowd says. Child Protective Services should be called in (assuming there is such a thing any more). However, I know that we are FAR beyond that in these times. PARENTS of ALL children must rise up and protest this degradation upon our children!
