It’s the duty of the government to keep Americans safe at home and abroad, but Senate Democrats have completely failed at keeping American families safe in their own communities. Under Democrat leadership, businesses are the frequent victims of “smash and grab” robberies, and the nation’s homicide rate hit a 25-year peak in 2021.

Even in the face of a violent crime surge, Senate Democrats are not backing down on their calls to “Defund the Police,” choosing instead to align themselves with radicals like Reps. AOC and Cori Bush as well as the far-Left group Indivisible.

Joe Biden’s trip to New York City today is too little too late. Parents and business owners already know the Democrats do not have their backs. It is Democrats’ soft on crime policies that have fueled the horrific rise in violent crime in New York City and across the United States. With Democrats in control, criminals know that all they’ll get is a slap on the wrist because of new laws that weaken police forces, raise the dollar amount to be charged with felony theft, and more.

Families need their leaders to keep them safe. Instead, Senators Maggie Hassan, Mark Kelly, Catherine Cortez Masto, Raphael Warnock, and Michael Bennet are working hand-in-hand with Joe Biden and Democrat mayors to push a radical, anti-police agenda.

Will Senate Democrats admit regret for supporting a soft-on-crime agenda?
