The Hy-Vee main stage will host a drag show on Sunday during this weekend’s Des Moines Arts Festival. Prior to the show, the festival is hosting a “drag brunch” in celebration of Pride Month.

It is a ticketed event offering an opportunity to “mix and mingle” with the “guest queens and kings.”

The brunch begins at 10:30 a.m. with the public drag show at the Hy-Vee main stage beginning at 11:30 a.m.

  1. What a disappointment! Being a professional artist I have enjoyed the DM art fest in past summers. Even considered becoming a vendor artist. Why do professional artists have to join this Woke culture and celebrate immorality? They have destroyed one more venue that previously could display and offer income opportunities from talents and gifts bestowed by Almighty God. This does not end well. If you haven’t read a Bible, time to begin. Your pick, Old or New Testament.
