The Davenport Public Library is planning a “teen summer brunch” with a controversial focus:

Drag Queens & Kings

Teens ages 11-19 are welcome to celebrate “Pride Month” and the “art of being theatrical, extra and campy.

“After performances from a local Drag Queen and Drag King, Miss Amber will give booktalks while everyone enjoys donuts and other yummy snacks.

Registration is required for the event, which is presented in partnership with Clock, Inc. and The PRoject of the Quad Cities.

Other Teen Camp Brunch events will focus on solar ovens and bats.

The drag queen and king event is scheduled for Monday, June 27 from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
