The Iowa City Public Library hosted a drag storytime and costume ball on Saturday. The event featured a reading of a book called “If You’re A Drag Queen and You Know It.”

Some residents showed up to protest the event and captured video. A sign being held read:

“Go home drag queen groomer”

An individual from the library reportedly told them they couldn’t hold the sign up.

Here is a reading of the book “If You’re A Drag Queen and You Know It.” (The first video is sideways, the second will be standard).

This video shows the conclusion of the event. A slide is shown on the projector proclaiming “I put a spell on you and now you’re mine.”
