***Rumors are swirling Iowa about polling location closures and changes. We’ve contacted the county auditors in Iowa to find out what is actually happening in their county.***

Black Hawk County Auditor Grant Veeder said one of the state’s largest counties will have 15 fewer polling locations open on election day.

Usually there are 58 polling places open. This year there will be 43.

Voters were notified for polling changes and locations in a mailing that was sent out Oct. 14.

Veeder said that the biggest reason for the changes is traditional polling places did not wish to host.

Voters can find their polling place at this website.

Iowans can sign up to be poll workers here.
