Two-time Fourth Congressional District loser J.D. Scholten used his Rural Vote.org to send out a fundraising email in which he put his liberal elitism on full display.

“The low vaccine rates in rural America highlight two big problems,” Scholten wrote. “First, rural communities are inundated with misinformation and disinformation, and there is no infrastructure to fight back against the lies.”

The second reason — if you’re curious — is a lack of access to health care services.

But that first reason exemplifies the liberal elitism that so many in rural America reject.

Could it be, rather than “misinformation” and “disinformation” that rural Americans are simply less likely to become sheep? That they are more than capable of thinking for themselves? That they have religious reasons for not taking the vaccine?

No. No. None of that. To Scholten and liberal elites, it is because rural Americans are too stupid to recognize misinformation and disinformation and there is no Democrat infrastructure to fight back against the lies.

And this is one reason why Democrats struggle in rural America.
