Congressional Democrats and the American Library Association are teaming up to support H.R. 9056, a bill called the “Right to Read Act,” which Dan Kleinman of SafeLibraries cautions will remove parental rights to challenge any reading material, including graphic child pornography now called “diverse” and “inclusive.”
“It’s also a giant money grab for (the American Library Association),” Klienman said.
The bill defines the term “right to read” to mean that all students have access to:
*linguistically and developmentally appropriate, evidence-based reading instructions;
*effective school libraries;
*family literacy support;
*culturally diverse and inclusive materials;
*reading materials in the home; and
*the freedom to choose reading materials
It also adds a “school librarian” to the term “teacher.”
The bill also provides liability protections related to the “right to read.”
“No teacher or school librarian shall be liable for harm caused by an act or omission of the teacher or school librarian if the actions of the teacher or school librarian were carried out in conformity with the right to read,” the bill states.
The final section of the bill is called “Protected First Amendment rights in school libraries.”
“The Secretary shall require an assurance from each State and local educational agency receiving funds under this Act confirming that the State or local educational agency understands the importance of First Amendment protections in school libraries as centers for voluntary inquiry and the dissemination of information and ideas.”
The American Library Association applauded the bill’s introduction to Congress.
“This act ensures access to diverse, inclusive reading material professionally curated by certified school librarians,” said AASL President Kathy Lester.
The ALA’s statement on the bill also reads:
“Sen. Reed and Rep. Grijalva’s legislation also reaffirms that First Amendment rights apply to school libraries, in response to the growing trend of book bans, which limit appropriate educational options for students. In addition, the Right to Read Act would extend liability protections to teachers and school librarians.”
“Democrats working with American Library Association to ensure children get graphic child porn in schools,” Kleinman said. “It’s an attempt to bypass and silence all parents nationwide in one fell swoop per American Library Association’s new #UniteAgainstBookBans hoax. If the Democrats make this into law, and if any GOP helps them, then they are all in direct collusion with people sexually grooming school children.”
When evil and perversion are legislated under the guise of “freedom” the agenda of the groomers are one step closer(actually many steps closer) to devouring our children and severing the parental rights, wisdom and protection of their own children.
