Leana Wen is a college professor, emergency room physician, Washington Post columnist and CNN analyst.

I had never heard of her before yesterday, when I saw a tweet she sent about President Donald J. Trump briefly going for a car ride outside Walter Reed Medical Center.

“If Donald Trump were my patient, in unstable condition + contagious illness and he suddenly left the hospital to go for a car ride that endangers himself and others: I’d call security to restrain him then perform a psychiatric evaluation to examine his decision-making capacity.”

I read it once and was left puzzled. I read it again to see if she actually wrote what I actually read.

Then I scrolled up to see who she was and, while the tweet still seemed odd, it made a little more sense coming from a college professor, Washington Post columnist and CNN contributor.

Talk about a reach.

Have security restrain him? Order a psych eval?

The only crazy thing about this situation is this tweet. And when one considers Wen appears to be serious, it only seems crazier.
