We were a bit perplexed on Thursday night after being told that South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem hosted John Boehner for a fundraiser along with Congressman Dusty Johnson. South Dakota media reported that Noem hosted Boehner and conservatives were left in shock.
However, South Dakota media updated its headlines and removed Noem’s name and now only say that Johnson hosted Boehner.
We reached out to Gov. Noem’s office and it was confirmed that Noem simply attended the same fundraiser. It is not fair to say that she “hosted” Boehner.
This makes more sense.
