Family Research Council and Charlotte Lozier Institute have completed our annual comprehensive update of ObamacareAbortion.com.

Ever since we first began examining Obamacare health plans in 2013, it’s been our goal to supply you with answers to an important question: “Which federally supported health plans do not cover elective abortion?”

Information on health plans’ abortion coverage can be hard to come by and is often unclear. Pro-life choices are rare in some states and non-existent in others. For example, in nine states and the District of Columbia, all of the individual and family plans available cover elective abortion. ObamacareAbortion.com cuts through the confusion and gives you the facts about the health plans available to you.

If you intend to purchase a health plan through healthcare.gov, please check ObamacareAbortion.com to ensure that you do not unwittingly enroll in a plan that will require you to pay a separate surcharge for elective abortions. For those who must buy a plan on the exchange, our map will tell you which plans do and do not include abortion coverage.

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 removed the federal individual mandate that required you to pay a penalty for not choosing an Obamacare plan. This means you will no longer be taxed for choosing not to buy insurance, or for purchasing a plan that is not Obamacare-compliant. However, several states have recently passed individual mandates of their own. Be sure to check your state page to see if you live in a state with an individual healthcare mandate.

Open Enrollment for 2020 has already started (on November 1st) and will last until December 15th for most states — so be sure to visit our site soon!

Visit ObamacareAbortion.com today to see if your state offers pro-life health plans. This is one way you can contribute to a culture of life!
