Steve Bannon called for MAGA to adopt a no-compromise approach after the 2024 Election during a fiery speech at Turning Point USA’s America Fest 2024. Bannon opened by saying that the political class in Washington D.C. is infected with a “malignant cancer” called bipartisanship.
However, there was nothing bipartisan about Trump’s political comeback, which Bannon said is the greatest political comeback in world history.
“Was there any compromise at all in anything that you all did,” he asked. “No. There was not. It was zero.”
After the political elite “stole” the 2020 Election, Bannon said Trump had a decision to make. Would he just enjoy his family and the empire he built, or would he fight back? Bannon said Trump knew all a comeback attempt would entail, but he did it anyway.
“Why did he do it? Because he knew you had his back,” Bannon said. “You’re the foundational element of this movement. You just delivered the greatest comeback not just in the history of the country but the greatest comeback in all political history.”
Bannon said Wall Street, Silicon Valley and the political class understand the power the people have because they plot to defeat President Trump every day, which means they plot to defeat the people.
But now President-elect Trump is treated as though he is President. And that is because Joe Biden is an “illegitimate imposter,” Bannon said. Never before has a President-elect been treated how Trump is being treated.
Speaker Mike Johnson drew the ire of Bannon.
“It’s not about any one person, clearly Johnson is not up to the task, right? Clearly, he’s got to go,” Bannon said. “President Trump, these are your people. It’s not just Johnson – clearly he has to go, he doesn’t have what we call the right stuff, that combination of guts, moxie and savvy and toughness. What is the strength of our movement, its resilience.”
Bannon was criticizing Johnson for the 1,500-page bill to continue funding the government which he called a sellout to Hakeem Jeffries.
“He just stands up in the Capitol a few minutes ago and he goes, ‘Well you know we negotiated this on a bipartisan…’ There’s nothing to negotiate,” Bannon said. “We don’t need partisanship now, we need hyper-partisanship now. The conversation is over. President Trump came back from the political dead and on the shoulders of the most powerful populist movement in the history of the world, brought in every demographic, every ethnicity, every gender in every part of the country and won a landslide victory. We have nothing else to discuss. It’s only about the execution of President Trump’s plan.”
Stories from the Wall Street Journal and New York Times that came out a day or two before Bannon’s speech proved Biden is an illegitimate President because they admitted Biden has never really been running the government as President.
“The first thing President Trump ought to do is declassify five million documents of classified information and let people see it,” Bannon said. “They classified the information for one reason, to keep it from you. Your common sense is the common sense we need in our international affairs and in our national security.”
Four years ago, Trump supporters weren’t able to wear their red MAGA hats or let people at work know how they were voting.
“I find their weakness appalling,” Bannon said. “They were like neo-Marxists in Russia or Nazi Germany. Think about what they tried to do to your life. But underground there were so many people who said, ‘Hey, I like Trump.’”
Bannon said MAGA doesn’t need the traditional media. MAGA supporters keep up and are even ahead of many of the podcasters in the movement. They take the information and use their agency to act upon it.
“There’s never been a movement like that ever,” he said. “It’s the reason they fear you. It’s the reason what Johnson did over the last 48 hours is a political mortal sin. You don’t go to Hakeem Jeffries. Quite frankly I don’t give a damn what Hakeem Jeffries wants. I don’t care what Chuck Schumer wants. These people are not relevant. What is relevant is the people that President Trump has in office and the people that he wants in his cabinet.”
Trump’s nominees should be confirmed since Trump took a bullet to his head and won in a landslide four months later, Bannon said.
Instead, the political class tried to pass the 1,500 pages of “giveaways.” Worse yet, they gave themselves a pay raise, Bannon said.
The political class thinks in a totally different mindset than Trump and MAGA. Trump is committed to ending forever wars and closing the border. But Democrats and the political class do not want Trump to be successful, Bannon warned.
“As hard as it’s been the last four years, as great as you have been, the hardest work is ahead of us,” he said. “They’re going to chop block us every step of the way because your growth as a movement, your power as a movement, President Trump becoming victorious and efficient and effective, they understand that two-thirds to 75 percent of this country is MAGA and they fear that. And they fear you.”
Bannon said the vast criminal conspiracy that has been running the country the last four years will be investigated and needs to be put in prison where they belong so they can never do it again.
He closed his speech sharing a quote from Napoleon…
“When you set out to take Vienna, take Vienna,” Bannon said. “That’s what we’re going to do. Take the imperial capital. You guys are going to be ascendant. We’re going to get Trump’s program through. Oh, and one last thing – Trump 2028.”
