United States Senator Joni Ernst just voted to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act, codify homosexual marriage and put the religious liberty of organizations at jeopardy with her vote for the DisRespect for Marriage Act.

But what did she say in June of 2015 when the Supreme Court passed Obergefell?

“I am disappointed by the Supreme Court’s decision and its failure to recognize the freedom of our states to make their own decisions about their respective marriage laws,” she said. “While it is my personal belief that marriage is between one man and one woman, I maintain that this is an issue best handled at the state level.”

The DisRespect for Marriage Act, however, requires every state to recognize whatever one other state may deem “marriage.” The DisRespect for Marriage Act was handled at the federal level.

  1. This isn’t the first time Senator Ernst has “ flip-flopped!” I do not want to vote for her in her next election. She has betrayed the simplest of moral values and has signed of on Laws that contain “ Red Flag “ stipulations! Which intern open the door for 2nd Amendment infringement by the Federal Government!!! All four of our State Representatives also voted for or support this atrocious “ Foward “ thinking! Taking Iowans further away from the simplest of instructions laid out in our Saviors word!!! You either take the “ Word “ in it’s entirety or none of it at all!!
