Brett Blomme previously led an LGBTQ group that raised money for “drag queen story hour” as well as other programs.

Blomme also held a role as a Wisconsin children’s court judge.

But Blomme was arrested on Tuesday on “tentative” charges of possession of child pornography, reported the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Tom Barrett, the Milwaukee Mayor, expressed “complete surprise.”

Blomme was elected to the court in the spring of 2020. The Wisconsin Democrat Party donated more than $10,000 to his campaign.

He headed the Cream City Foundation, which provides grants to LGBTQ groups in the Milwaukee area. He earned $94,633 a year in that position.
