Today, U.S. Term Limits announces former United States Representative Rod Blum has agreed to be the Iowa State Chair for U.S. Term Limits. Blum with his time in Congress brings a depth of public service to this role. He has seen first-hand the need for term limits at the federal level and will work tirelessly in his role as Iowa State Chair to see that Iowa adopts a resolution for term limits.

“I am very honored to be serving as the Iowa State Chair for U.S. Term Limits,” said Rod Blum. “Now more than ever before, the need for term limits is crystal clear. Polls show that the one issue Americans regardless of political affiliation are united about is the need for congressional term limits. Polls show that over 80% of Americans want congressional term limits. We will work to ensure that Iowa joins the states in working for a constitutional amendment on term limits.”

“We are honored to have Rod leading our efforts in Iowa to pass term limits on Congress,” said Philip Blumel, President of U.S. Term Limits. “He is a strong leader who understands the problems within Congress and the need for term limits. Under his strong guidance, I am confident we will get our term limits resolution passed in Iowa.”

Rod Blum served as the United States House Representative in Iowa’s 1st District from 2015 to 2019. He was a member of the House Budget Committee, House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, House Small Business Committee, and the House Freedom Caucus.

Blum is currently Chairman and CEO of Digital Canal, a leading provider of Home Building and Structural Engineering software.  He is also a majority partner at Bedrock Development LLC, land development/homebuilding partnership.

He holds a Bachelors from Loras College and an MBA from the University of Dubuque.  Blum is married to Karen and has five children.
