Last week week, following trips to the border and meetings with immigration officials and federal judges, U.S. Congressman Matt Gaetz (FL-01) introduced the “Allocating Liability to Illegal Entrants in National Courts (ALIEN) Act.” The legislation, if enacted, would fully empower federal judges to award damages to victims of illegal immigration for harms they have suffered.

“The Biden-Harris administration has let in millions of illegals and created a migrant crime epidemic. My legislation, the ALIEN Act, will give federal judges, the ability to award restitution to Americans who are victims of harm to person or property from illegals. Americans deserve the possibility of compensation for the pain they endured,” said Congressman Gaetz.
