On April 25th, a Cedar Rapids area school board spent nearly five hours considering a controversial transgender student policy. Eighty — 80 — attendees spoke on the issue, 75 percent of them in opposition. A petition in opposition to the policy started by concerned parents now has over 3,700 signatures.

Today, the Cedar Rapids Gazette published its first words on this major story: an opinion piece attacking Governor Reynolds.

The Gazette, which has long been criticized for progressive bias, is apparently attempting to bury the biggest story impacting parents and students right now in the community they claim to serve.

I guess reporting on a controversial, extreme school board policy or the parents who oppose it is too much for the arbiters of truth at the Gazette.
