Liberty Counsel Action is raising concerns about geoengineering following the tragic Texas flood.
According to Liberty Counsel Action, a company called “Rainmaker” conducts “precipitation enhancement” via cloud seeding. The company released silver iodide and salt into clouds to increase rain on July 2 — less than two days before the Texas flood. This was conducted upwind from the devastating flood.
“Wind patterns (coming from the S/SE) could have carried this cocktail straight into the region within a 24-48-hour window, just as the storm was building and dumping water,” Liberty Counsel Action wrote. “This raises troubling questions about human interference in our weather systems.”
Texas has used cloud seeding for more than 10 years. According to the organization, Wichita Falls, Texas retained Seeding Operations and Atmospheric Research (SOAR) to seed the clouds to increase water to the area. A researcher at Texas Tech found cloud seeding extended the cloud’s life by 28 percent, expanded the rain area by 29 percent and increased rainfall by 103 billion gallons.
“That’s a staggering amount of water,” Liberty Counsel Action wrote. “One thing is clear: We are messing with things far beyond our control.”
And while many have expressed concerns with cloud seeding, the practice remains “virtually” without regulation.
However, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene is introducing federal legislation to ban the practice of releasing chemicals into the atmosphere.
Experts issued a warning earlier this year that silver iodide, the primary agent used in cloud seeding, is classified as a hazardous substance under the Clean Water Act. Experts also warn it can cause “unintended consequences like flooding or droughts in adjacent areas.”
Liberty Counsel Action warns that we have “no idea” what the long-term consequences will be from artificially increasing rainfall or reducing surface temps by darkening the sun.
“There is no ‘undo’ button for this global manipulation at the hands of environmental dictators if it all falls apart,” the organization wrote.
Liberty Counsel Action is calling for immediate hearings into cloud-seeding experiments and for support of Rep. Greene’s bill to ban chemical weather modification programs.
